Apple Vision Pro enables control of wheelchairs

Ahead of Global Accessibility Awareness Day, Apple announced major updates expanding accessibility features for its operating systems. As CEO Tim Cook noted, the introduction of the Apple Intelligence AI platform has taken inclusive features to a whole new level while maintaining user privacy. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports.
One of the most significant innovations is a system for controlling motorized wheelchairs using the Apple Vision Pro spatial computer. With the device's eye-tracking technology, users can steer the wheelchair without physical effort, using only their gaze. This solution is compatible with various drive systems via Bluetooth or wired connection.
Additionally, the VoiceOver feature now includes detailed text descriptions of images using neural networks. iPhone users can ask voice questions about objects in front of the camera via the Action button and receive real-time answers. The Magnifier app has also received a new interface controlled by natural conversational phrases.
Voice Control now understands natural language, allowing users to avoid memorizing complex commands. The Accessibility Reader tool has been enriched with features to summarize scientific articles and complex documents while maintaining formatting. All processes are performed locally on the device for security purposes.
