Tony Robbins and Calm founders create a safer AI therapy app

The founders of the Mental app, designed for men, launched a new project after noticing that an AI-based interactive audio feature was gaining significant traction among users. Thus, The Path, a safer and more effective AI therapy app, was born. Renowned motivator and author Tony Robbins joined the project as a co-founder. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reporting states.

The Path startup raised $14.3 million in an investment round led by Prime Movers Lab. Notable athletes Apolo Anton Ohno and Deontay Wilder are also participating in the project alongside Tony Robbins. Initially starting as a branding advisor, Robbins later became an integral part of the project by integrating his personal development methodologies into the app.

One of the app's founders, Anson Whitmer, previously worked at the popular meditation app Calm. His entry into mental health technology was driven by personal tragedies: the suicide of close relatives prompted him to earn a PhD in psychology and bring scientific research to the public.

According to Whitmer, traditional therapy is not accessible to everyone due to a global shortage of specialists. The Path aims to provide personalized coaching and therapy services using artificial intelligence, adapting to the unique problems of each user.
