Burger King to open in Uzbekistan within months

Burger King is set to launch its fast-food restaurant chain in Uzbekistan, reports Nova24.uz, citing Shukhrat Ergashev, founder of International Beverages Tashkent.

According to Ergashev, the first Burger King branches may open in the next 2–3 months. He noted that 10 years ago, Uzbekistan tried to attract brands like Burger King and McDonald’s — and now, an agreement has finally been reached.

— We have obtained the license. Burger King offered to establish a Central Asian HQ in Tashkent and allow us to issue licenses across the region, — Ergashev stated.
