To ensure passenger safety and maintain service quality, the Tashkent Metro will temporarily suspend operations on a section of its network, via the official Telegram channel of Tashkent Metro. This decision follows the need for scheduled preventive maintenance on elevated tracks and stations that have been in use for a considerable period.
Starting from August 2, 2025, train service will be halted across six stations between “Technopark” and “Yangiobod”. The closure will allow for essential technical inspections and upgrades aimed at improving long-term reliability and efficiency.
To minimize inconvenience for commuters, large-capacity shuttle buses (metrobuses) will operate for free between the “Technopark–Qipchoq–Technopark” route, offering alternative transportation during the metro line suspension.
According to the official notice, these buses will run daily from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The initiative is designed not only to provide consistent commuter service but also to ease pressure on other parts of the city’s transit system.
Transport authorities have assured the public that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure smooth travel during the closure. Informational signs, maps, and assistance points will be set up at key locations. Passengers are asked to remain patient and understanding as the improvements are carried out.
