Uzbekistan is launching a pilot project to pay wages on a daily basis. This means employees will be able to receive their pay immediately after the end of their workday, without waiting until the end of the month. The new practice could fundamentally change the settlement system between workers and employers.
To participate in the experiment, employees must sign an electronic labor contract, open a digital wallet on the platform, and pay all taxes and fees in full compliance with the law. These requirements aim to ensure the project’s transparency and legality.
Payments will be made through the “same day” system. Employers, meanwhile, must fully comply with all labor law regulations. The initiative is expected to strengthen workers’ rights and improve financial discipline.
According to the presidential decree, this measure is intended to improve workers’ financial conditions and boost their productivity. It will be particularly beneficial for temporary or hourly employees.
