On September 20, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in New York, USA, to participate in the events of the 80th anniversary session of the United Nations General Assembly.
At the John F. Kennedy International Airport, the head of our state was solemnly welcomed by the Special Representative of the President of the United States for Global Partnerships, Paolo Zampolli, the Chairperson of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, Carolyn Lamm, and other high-ranking officials.
It is reported that President Mirziyoyev will speak at the general debates of the UN General Assembly and express his opinion on the priorities and global initiatives of Uzbekistan. It is also planned to hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of a number of foreign countries, heads of international structures and major financial institutions.
In addition, separate dialogues with the heads of leading US corporations and a round table with the participation of representatives of prestigious companies will be organized. Within the framework of this visit, important agreements aimed at further enhancing the authority of Uzbekistan in the international arena and strengthening economic cooperation will be discussed.
