Important decisions were made at the meeting of the State Commission for the Coordination of Admission Processes to Educational Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan. These decisions will create additional opportunities for young people who have not received higher education.
According to the new procedure, an additional competition will be held for vacant places in bachelor's degree programs. Young people who scored 56.7 points or higher but were not recommended for admission will participate in this competition. In particular, at the second stage of registration, applicants who have not chosen a higher educational institution or field of study will be given another opportunity.
At the same time, based on the results of the entrance exams, applicants will be given the opportunity to study on a differentiated paid contract basis. The State Commission also approved state orders for foreign and non-state higher educational institutions in the republic.
The allocation of additional grant and paid-contract places for young people of Karakalpakstan is of great importance. In addition, the quotas for the President's grant were redistributed by areas of education, and the results of the competition for master's programs in state higher educational institutions were approved.
