Preparation of the energy system of Uzbekistan for the season and new plans

The energy system in Uzbekistan has entered the autumn-winter season. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy. In order to prepare for the season, round-the-clock duty has been organized at the Ministry and subordinate enterprises, and measures have begun in all areas of work for the successful completion of the season.

In the field of electricity supply:

By 2025, it is planned to produce 85.5 billion kWh of electricity, which is 4 billion kWh more than in 2024. In this process, since the beginning of the year, more than 7,000 kilometers of power lines and 1,731 transformer substations have been updated, and the electricity supply to more than 800,000 households in 954 mahallas has been improved. In the winter season, electricity consumption is expected to reach 290-300 million kWh per day, which is slightly higher than in the summer season. By the end of 2025, solar and wind energy systems with a capacity of 3,000 megawatts, thermal energy systems with a capacity of 1,167 megawatts, and energy storage systems with a capacity of 1,500 megawatts will be launched.

In the field of gas supply:

A number of works have also been carried out in the field of gas supply. 538 km of gas pipelines were upgraded, and 951 gas distribution points were modernized. 464 thousand tons of liquefied gas have been delivered to the population, and another 199 thousand tons are expected to be delivered by the end of 2023. Also, a reserve of more than 29 thousand additional gas cylinders has been created. To prevent emergencies, special teams have been formed and provided with the necessary equipment and materials.
