The population of Uzbekistan is growing, which has a significant impact on the overall population density of the country. According to the National Statistics Committee, as of October 1, 2025, there were an average of 84.8 people per square kilometer. This figure is 1.6 people more than in the same period last year.
Consequently, population density has been growing rapidly in recent years. For example, in 2021 this figure was 78.1 people, in 2022 - 79.8 people, in 2023 - 81.5 people, and in 2024 - 83.2 people. This trend indicates that along with population growth in the country, the need for urbanization and infrastructure is also increasing.
Analysts note that such an increase in population density increases the demand for housing, transport, education, and healthcare in cities. Moreover, this process, while stimulating economic development, can also raise environmental and urban planning problems.
At the same time, according to the latest data, the economic activity of the country's population is also growing. In the first nine months of 2025, household incomes increased by 18 percent, and the average wage by 19 percent. These indicators indicate a significant improvement in the standard of living and purchasing power of the population.
It was also noted that the country's gold and foreign currency reserves have increased by 35% over the past year, reaching a total of $55 billion. This, in turn, is assessed as an important factor in strengthening economic stability and reducing external financial risks.
Thus, against the backdrop of population growth and economic activity, the pace of life is accelerating in every part of the country, and the demand for infrastructure development is growing even more. This means that in the coming years, there is a high probability of further growth in population density and economic indicators.
