The requirements for graduates of military higher education institutions in Uzbekistan have been strengthened. According to the changes made to the regulation "On the Procedure of Military Service" by Presidential decree, from now on, if graduates fail to fulfill the five-year service obligation, they are required to reimburse the expenses spent by the state for their education.
According to the new procedure, if a graduate does not serve for five years as an officer, they are obliged to repay all expenses incurred by the state during the education process. These rules apply not only to those on military service, but also to graduates assigned as civilian employees to other ministries and agencies.
A five-year service obligation is also set for them, and if this obligation is not fulfilled, the funds spent on their education will be reclaimed. The costs of training cadets at a military higher education institution include not only tuition, food, and clothing expenses, but also funds spent on complex military equipment and ammunition used during training exercises.
This makes military education one of the most expensive higher education fields for the state. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
