Has the customs duty on the import of air purifiers been abolished?

According to the presidential decree, household air purification equipment is now exempt from customs duties when imported into the territory of Uzbekistan by citizens and entrepreneurs.

Goods exempt from customs duties are registered under the HS code 8509 80. This decision is aimed at increasing the environmental safety of the population and creating a healthy environment.

Special laboratory equipment, automated substations, automatic monitoring and tracking systems, dust and gas cleaning equipment, and local water treatment plants are also exempt from customs duties.

These devices are imported under the HS codes 9027 and 8421. These benefits will allow for the widespread introduction of technologies that contribute to environmental protection.
