On March 4, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During the conversation, it was noted that the situation in the Middle East in recent days is becoming increasingly tense, and the escalation of conflicts and contradictions is causing serious concern.
The parties emphasized that such unpleasant situations observed during the holy month of Ramadan contradict the principles of international law. The need for an immediate cessation of any actions that threaten peace and tranquility was also emphasized.
The head of state expressed solidarity with the leadership and people of the United Arab Emirates, which is a strategic partner and close partner of Uzbekistan in these difficult times. He also expressed gratitude for the practical assistance provided to the citizens of Uzbekistan currently in this country, and for the measures taken to return them to their homeland.
In turn, the Leader of the Emirates expressed deep gratitude for the sincere support of the President of Uzbekistan, brotherly respect, and the spirit of solidarity.
