Uzbekistan introduces “Young Ecologist” badge

In Uzbekistan, a “Young Ecologist” badge will be introduced to promote environmental awareness and engage youth in nature conservation efforts.

According to the decision, starting from 2026, higher education institutions will develop “green campus” projects in cooperation with the Ecology Committee. This initiative aims to protect the environment and ensure ecological sustainability.

In addition, from May 1, 2026, the “10,000 Steps a Day” initiative will be relaunched, and the “Healthy Lifestyle” platform will be introduced. These measures are intended to increase physical activity among the population and promote a healthy way of living.

Furthermore, beginning May 1, 2026, the “Young Ecologist” badge will be awarded in three levels.
The third level will be for school students, the second level for technical college and university students, and the first level for young individuals who achieve high results at national and international levels.

This initiative is expected to foster environmental awareness among youth, encourage active participation, and strengthen responsibility for nature conservation.
