“New Uzbekistan Scholarship” to be introduced for foreign students

Now, within the framework of the “New Uzbekistan Scholarship” program, up to 500 talented foreign students will be able to study at Uzbek state higher education institutions on a grant basis every year. This will be done at the expense of state grant quotas that have not been fully utilized in bachelor's programs.
Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, in addition to the current procedure for admitting foreign students to higher education institutions, it is planned to establish an admission system through the “Study in Uzbekistan” platform.
Also, starting from this period, students who have completed an educational program in a foreign language will be exempted from the requirement to provide a language proficiency certificate when applying for the next stage.
According to the document, a number of new structures will also be established. In particular, the Center for the Development of Digital Education Technologies, as well as the Office for Supporting Innovative Initiatives, will be established on the basis of the Center for the Development of Digital Education Technologies.
