As of April 1, 2026, the permanent population of the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to 38,382,685 people. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee.
It is noted that this figure increased by 1.8% compared to the same period last year. This indicates that the trend of stable population growth in the country continues.
It was noted that 19.1 million people are women and 19.3 million are men. By region, 19.6 million people live in cities and 18.8 million in rural areas.
Experts evaluate this growth as an important indicator of the consistent demographic development of Uzbekistan.
