In the first quarter of 2026, over 1.63 million Uzbek citizens traveled abroad for tourism, an increase of 111,600 compared to the same period last year. The majority of these trips were to neighboring countries, with Kyrgyzstan being the most popular destination, receiving over 660,000 Uzbek visitors. Kazakhstan and Tajikistan followed, with Saudi Arabia also emerging as a favored destination. Other actively chosen countries included Russia, Turkey, the UAE, China, Thailand, and Egypt. During the same period, Uzbekistan also welcomed over 2.87 million foreign tourists from 164 countries.
In January-March 2026, more than 1.63 million citizens of Uzbekistan traveled to foreign countries for tourism purposes. According to the National Statistics Committee, this figure increased by 111.6 thousand compared to the same period last year.
