Tourist country houses in Uzbekistan to be included in a single electronic database

Uzbekistan is launching a unified electronic database to register and monitor all tourist cottages and accommodation facilities to better regulate the national tourism sector. To encourage business growth, these cottages will be exempt from tourism fees, and owners will not be required to obtain special licenses or permits to operate. However, the government is introducing a reward system for citizens who report unregistered or illegal rental properties, offering them a portion of the fines collected from violators.
In order to regulate the tourism sector in Uzbekistan, it is planned to create a single electronic database of all accommodation facilities, including tourist country cottages. Through this system, all vacation spots will be inspected and their activities monitored.
Under the new procedure, guests отдыхing at tourist country cottages will not be charged a special tourist fee. It has also been established that entrepreneurs will not be required to obtain a separate license or permit to provide services at such facilities.
A system of incentives will be introduced for citizens who report illegal or unregistered rental properties. Under this, part of the fine collected from violators is expected to be paid to the person who provided the information as a reward.
