Another plane crashes in the United States (photo)

A small ambulance plane crashed into residential buildings in the US city of Philadelphia.

The incident occurred shortly after takeoff. Several homes in the area caught fire after the plane crashed. Police say there are victims at the scene.

According to the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), there were six people on board the plane.

There were four crew members, one child (a pediatric patient) and a flight attendant on board. The company said it could not provide information on their condition.

"Names will not be released until next of kin have been notified," Jet Rescue Air Ambulance said in a statement.

The cause of the crash has not yet been announced. According to Fox News, the crash may have been caused by an oxygen tank on board the plane.

This is the second plane crash in the United States in as many days. On Thursday night, a civilian plane and a military helicopter collided near Washington's Reagan International Airport.
