Netanyahu presented an "antique gift" to Donald Trump...
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with US President Donald Trump in Washington. He presented the White House leader with a pager to commemorate the operation against the Hezbollah group, said Dmitry Gendelman, an adviser to the Israeli prime minister.

According to the H12 television channel, the list of gifts included two pagers: a plain one and a gold one.

Donald Trump said that the mass explosion of pagers organized by the Mossad was a "magnificent operation." In response, he presented the Israeli president with a photo of the meeting with the inscription "Bibi, a great leader" and a joint photo with his signature.

The meeting of the presidents at the White House lasted five hours. During the extended talks, the parties discussed pressing issues, including those related to the Gaza Strip.

After the talks, Donald Trump said that the United States would “take control of the Gaza Strip.” According to him, the enclave would be cleaned up, unexploded bombs and weapons would be removed, the land would be leveled, and destroyed buildings would be demolished. American troops could also appear there “if necessary.”

The Pager bombings took place in Lebanon and Damascus on September 17 and 18, 2024. The first wave of bombings killed at least 16 people and injured more than 3,000. When the second wave occurred, an estimated 25 people were killed and more than 700 were injured.
