Russia and the US have announced an important plan for Ukraine

Russia and the United States have proposed a three-phase peace plan for Ukraine, Fox News correspondent Jackie Heinrich reported, citing “multiple diplomatic sources.”

• The first phase is a ceasefire;
  
• The second phase is holding elections in Ukraine;
  
• The third phase is signing a final agreement.
  

The channel, citing its sources, noted that the United States and Russia consider “holding new elections in Ukraine” to be the main condition for a successful agreement.

The two countries have agreed to restore the previous number of staff at their embassies in Moscow and Washington.

“We will need live diplomatic missions that can function properly to keep the lines of communication open,” said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
