Several high-ranking officials at the U.S. National Security Council were removed from their positions on April 3, Reuters reported.
“According to three people familiar with the situation, multiple NSC directors at the White House were dismissed on Thursday morning,” the report stated.
Sources did not specify the reason for the dismissals, but two individuals linked the action to the results of internal investigations. Among those fired was David Feith, senior director for technology and national security.
In recent weeks, several controversies have surrounded Donald Trump's team. Two separate incidents involved National Security Advisor Mike Waltz. First, he was implicated in the leak of classified information about planned strikes on the Houthis in Yemen. Later, his aides were found to be using personal Gmail accounts to discuss military matters.
Following these events, media reports indicate that some within the administration are now calling for Mike Waltz’s resignation. Follow “Zamin” news on “Telegram”
