The first female commander of the US Army's Fort McCoy military base in Wisconsin, Colonel Sheila Ramirez, has been relieved of her post. According to the Daily Beast, the decision was made as a result of a scandal involving photos of President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
A week ago, the Pentagon's special investigation team published photos from a stand at the Fort McCoy base. It was supposed to include photos of high-ranking officials of the base, including President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. However, these photos in the top row were turned towards the wall, and this action was considered "vandalism".

The US Department of Defense officially announced that an investigation into this incident has been launched.
For information, Colonel Sheila Ramirez was appointed to command the Fort McCoy base in July 2024. Before her appointment, she served at Fort Belvoir in Virginia.
Upon assuming the command, Ramirez said in a public address: “It is very important to promote and demonstrate diversity in every area of society.”
An investigation into the scandal is currently underway, and this situation is causing great discussion in the US public. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
