The US has entrusted relations in Ukraine to Julie Davis

The US has entrusted relations in Ukraine to Julie Davis
Julie S. Davis (Fisher), a veteran diplomat from the United States, will begin her work as the US ambassador to Ukraine on May 5. The US Embassy in Kyiv officially announced this on May 1.

Diplomatic mission on behalf of Trump and Rubio

Julie Davis will now be responsible for communicating with the Ukrainian government and people on behalf of US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. According to the embassy press service, she will work tirelessly to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, end the war, and move towards a safe, stable future.

Two embassies at the same time

Interestingly, Julie Davis will also retain her position as US Ambassador to Cyprus. This means that she will be working on two important fronts. Davis has extensive experience in the diplomatic service:
▪️ US Ambassador/Special Representative to Belarus,
▪️ Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Western European and EU Affairs,
▪️ Deputy Ambassador at the US Permanent Mission to NATO.

Until the Ambassador is Appointed - the Key Person

In the meantime, until the US President appoints a new ambassador to Ukraine, Julie Davis will serve in this position on an interim basis. Her task is to maintain and strengthen the strategic relationship between the two countries at a high level.

America is starting a new effort for peace and development in Ukraine. This time, confidence has been placed not in another diplomat, but in Julie Davis, who has extensive diplomatic experience. Her work in Kiev is expected to take US-Ukrainian relations to a new level.

Such appointments demonstrate that the US is pursuing a clear and serious policy towards Ukraine, based on strategic solutions.
