According to the results of the annual rating traditionally published by the international organization Happy City Index, the Danish capital Copenhagen took first place as the happiest city in the world in 2025 with a record high score of 1039 points.
According to experts, Copenhagen's leadership in the rating is not an unexpected event, but the result of clear political and social decisions made in the city over the years. This city has a high level of sustainable development, is distinguished by its environmental cleanliness, an environmentally friendly transport system and a convenient infrastructure for the health of the city's residents.
It is noted that almost 70 percent of trips in Copenhagen are made by bicycle and public transport. At the same time, the city has a unique "Museum of Happiness", which allows for a wide study of this concept from a scientific and cultural perspective.

However, unfortunately, cities in Central Asia, including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, did not even make it to the top 200 of this ranking.
It is also noted that the cities of Azerbaijan, Mongolia and the UAE are not included in this rating.
