The Guinness Book of Records has been updated with another amazing result: 34-year-old Australian Olivia Vinson has demonstrated her incredible willpower to the world by setting a world record for the most pull-ups on the horizontal bar in 24 hours.

This was reported by the UPI publication. As it turned out, the idea to break the record was suggested to her by her husband and personal trainer. At first, this proposal seemed so impossible to Olivia that she laughed when she heard it. In 2021, Polish athlete Paula Gorlo made history in this field by pulling up 4081 times. After calculations showed that it was possible to break this record, Vinson found the strength to complete this task.

However, the first attempt was very difficult for her. In September 2024, after rigorous training, she attempted to break the record, but was forced to abandon her attempt due to an injury she sustained during training, a strained forearm tendon.

But this setback did not stop her from trying her best. Within two months, Vinson regained her health and, after more training, set out to break the record again. This time, the Australian woman achieved the desired result.

On the day of the record, Vinson performed an incredible feat, performing a total of 7,079 pull-ups in 24 hours. This means an average of five pull-ups per minute. During this long training session, Olivia says that by the 7th hour, she began to feel severe nausea:

“I didn’t believe that I could push my body to such limits. During the training, I felt extremely tired, but my mental endurance did not deter me from my goal. Everything here really showed how strong the human will is,” she says.

This result of Vinson is of great importance not only for her personal life, but also for the world of sports. She showed by her own example that human possibilities are limitless, that anyone who sets high goals for themselves can conquer them.

Recall that in March of this year, 108-year-old Shitsui Hakoshi, who lives in Japan, was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest active hairdresser. This month, circus performer Leila Noon also broke the record for the longest time hanging by her hair. She achieved the feat by hanging by her hair for a total of 25 minutes and 11.3 seconds.

The Guinness Book of World Records has once again demonstrated the boundlessness of human willpower, and this time the champion is Olivia Vinson.
