Italian employee arrested for removing gold through his hair
An unprecedented gold theft has been uncovered in Italy. According to La Repubblica, a 38-year-old employee of a precious metal smelting plant near Milan hid the gold in his long hair for a year and left the company.

His actions were only revealed during an investigation into the purchase of the gold. The man, who could not provide the police with clear answers to the documents requested, attracted attention with his suspicious behavior during the investigation. As a result, 250-gram gold bars worth 23,000 euros were found on him. Several more bars were found during a search of his home, and during the investigation he fully confessed to the crimes he had committed.

It turned out that the man had previously worked as an employee of a jewelry factory in Switzerland, where he skillfully bypassed the security system there and secretly transported gold in a way that was not detected by metal detectors - in his long hair. According to him, the metal detector was not able to check the hair.

According to initial estimates, this employee stole a total of about 2 kilograms of gold - worth about 150 thousand euros - over the course of a year and sold it for personal gain.

Italian police have detained the employee and opened a criminal case against him. Investigators are now trying to determine who he sold the gold to and who else was involved in the case.

This incident has once again exposed not only the tricks used by the criminal, but also the shortcomings of security systems. This case, which proves that human intelligence is not above the law, is causing serious discussions in society.
