No Uzbeks on crashed Air India flight — MFA

According to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there were no Uzbek nationals on board the Air India Boeing 787–8 aircraft that crashed near Ahmedabad Airport in India on June 12, reports nova24.uz.

The ministry expressed deep condolences to the families of the victims. Preliminary information confirms that there were no Uzbeks among the passengers.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev extended condolences to Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.

The AI171 flight, operated by Air India, was en route from Ahmedabad to London when it crashed into a residential area shortly after takeoff.
