Taliban Restricts Women Under 40 at Termez Market

The Taliban has restricted women under the age of 40 from entering the international Termez market near the Afghanistan-Uzbekistan border, Nova24 reported.

This restriction aligns with the Taliban’s broader policy of tightening control over women’s rights.

Authorities have not yet commented on the ban.

Vendors say the decision has negatively affected business, with customer traffic dropping sharply.

The situation worsened particularly after a rule was imposed preventing women from leaving home without a valid reason.
