Disputes around Iran’s nuclear program are becoming more complicated. According to the latest reports from international sources, Israel may have destroyed the main centrifuges in the underground nuclear complex located in the city of Natanz, Iran. This was stated in an interview with BBC by the Director General of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi.
According to Grossi, the centrifuges at the Natanz nuclear facility are “seriously damaged, if not completely destroyed.” These machines play a crucial role in enriching uranium to weapons-grade levels. This strike is being regarded as a blow to the “heart” of the nuclear program.
It has also been reported that at least four buildings were damaged at another nuclear complex in Isfahan province. However, no damage was recorded at the underground plant near the city of Fordow.
According to Reuters, Israel has rendered two of Iran’s three actively operating uranium enrichment centers nonfunctional. These locations were reportedly storing highly enriched nuclear fuel.
Geopolitical analysts note that such actions not only undermine regional stability but also pose a serious threat to global security. Experts emphasize the need to resolve this situation urgently through international diplomacy.
