
Iranian intelligence services have arrested nearly 700 individuals suspected of espionage and sabotage activities in favor of Israel. This was reported by the BBC, citing sources within the security forces.
“Based on intelligence data and reports provided by the public, mercenaries operating within espionage-sabotage networks were detained,” the report stated.
It was noted that during the operations, explosives, remote control systems, and spy devices were seized. Additionally, Iranian authorities reported the discovery of illegal workshops linked to Israeli intelligence, where drones were being assembled.
The security operation was carried out in the provinces of Kermanshah, Isfahan, Khuzestan, Fars, and Lorestan. According to media reports, arrests were also made in the capital, although Tehran has not released official statistics.
