Iran is preparing to submit an official complaint against the United States to the United Nations, according to Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh.
He stated that Iran will demand compensation from the U.S. for the damage caused to its nuclear facilities. Khatibzadeh emphasized that on June 13, Israel launched military operations against Iran, targeting military, nuclear, and civilian sites. Then, on June 22, the United States intervened with airstrikes on three nuclear facilities located in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan.
In response, Iranian forces launched retaliatory attacks against Israel in 22 waves of missile strikes, causing significant destruction across various Israeli locations.
According to Khatibzadeh, a ceasefire agreement came into effect on June 24, halting military operations.
“The U.S. sent messages to Tehran through various channels expressing a desire to end the war. However, Tehran made it clear that the aggression must first cease before considering any ceasefire,” said the Foreign Ministry spokesperson.
The deputy minister also noted that Iran has not signed any written agreement with Israel.
“What has occurred is merely a cessation of violence. Iran will not resume attacks, although it remains fully prepared for a military response,” Khatibzadeh concluded.
