Explosions in Kharkiv: "Geran" drones deployed
The war between Russia and Ukraine has once again targeted civilian areas. On the evening of Tuesday, July 15, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a drone attack on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, terrifying its residents.

This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Syniehubov, through his Telegram channel. According to him, at least 17 powerful explosions occurred in the city within just 20 minutes. The attack was mainly directed at a civilian industrial facility in the Kyiv district, which resulted in a fire.

Reportedly, “Geran-2” (Shahed) kamikaze drones were used in the strike. Three civilians were injured. They are currently receiving medical assistance.

At the same time, Ukraine also responded. That same night, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched drone strikes on Russia’s Voronezh region. According to the region's governor, Alexander Gusev, 27 people were injured in the attack, including four minors. Several of the injured are in serious condition.

Observers point out that mutual drone attacks are becoming an increasing threat to civilians. Even cities far from the front line are no longer safe. New threats, new victims, new fires. These events are further complicating peace efforts in the region.

Drone attacks that endanger civilian lives have become a major challenge for both countries. The international community is now seriously reflecting on the causes of these losses and who should bear responsibility.
