In the US, a girl’s awakening from a coma stopped surgery

An astonishing incident occurred in New Mexico, USA. A patient named Danella Gallegos unexpectedly came out of a coma just minutes before an organ transplant surgery was about to begin, reports Pravilamag.

The girl fell into a coma after being urgently hospitalized. After some time, doctors concluded that her chances of recovery were extremely low and suggested to the family that her organs be donated.

Before the operation, relatives noticed her tears and sudden movements. At first, doctors assumed these were only reflexes. However, shortly before the surgery, Gallegos began blinking in response to doctors’ commands.

As a result, although the transplant coordinator insisted on proceeding, the doctors decided to cancel the operation. Danella Gallegos is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
