US President Donald Trump, during a meeting with American military commanders, made harsh remarks about Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev.
According to Trump, Medvedev recently made a threatening statement against America. Following this, the president decided to send American nuclear submarines — some of the deadliest weapons in the world — to the Russian coast.
“Medvedev is truly a stupid man. A few days ago he threatened us. After that, I sent submarines with the largest nuclear weapons to the Russian shores. I did this only because he used the word ‘nuclear’. We cannot allow people to use that word so casually,” Trump said.
According to the president, this action was taken not as an attack, but as a precautionary measure.
