Mount Taal, located in the Philippines, has returned to activity. As a result of the natural phenomenon, the volcano scattered ash to an altitude of 2100 meters and covered the city of Tanauan in Batangas province with heavy smoke.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, two weak freatomagmatic and one freatic eruptions were observed in the volcano. Experts emphasize that the risk level has not yet been increased, but the population is advised to take precautions.
It is noted that Taal is one of the most active volcanoes in the country, which has repeatedly threatened with powerful eruptions in recent years.
