The tragic incident in the Brazilian municipality of Wacaria shocked the public of the country. A father and daughter were killed as a result of a swarm of bees, the Daily Mail reports.
According to reports, Silvana da Fatima Bragansa da Lush accidentally crossed a roadside beehive while driving. As a result, a gang attack began. This unexpected incident knocked the woman unconscious. Local residents, having heard calls for help, immediately rushed to the scene.
Silva's 79-year-old father also did everything to save his daughter - he also went to the scene without hesitation. But unfortunately, he too was bitten by bees, putting him in a difficult situation. Despite the fact that the man was taken to the hospital, doctors were unable to save his life - he died the next day.
At the same time, according to rescuers, very valuable time was lost before they arrived at the scene. The reason was that their station was located 60 kilometers from the scene. The failure to arrive on time, unfortunately, eliminated the possibility of saving two lives.
Local police investigating the incident reported that the woman was stung by hundreds of bees, and when rescuers arrived, she was still alive but in serious condition. Despite all efforts, doctors were unable to save her life.
Commenting on this situation, local citizen Giuliano Gibbert said, "The bee attack occurs unexpectedly. They shouldn't have a nest by the road. If the ambulance had arrived on time, perhaps they could have been saved."
Currently, the police are investigating all the details of the incident. It should be noted that this is not the first time this has happened - in September, it was also reported that two children died as a result of hundreds of bee stings in China's Yunnan province.
Experts emphasize that they urge citizens not to approach beehives and to pay attention to potential sources of danger in the natural environment, especially when traveling by vehicle.
This event once again reminded us of the importance of caution and respect for the forces of nature.
