Putin received an invitation to join the Gaza Peace Council

It is reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin has also been invited to the international "Peace Council" established to stabilize the situation in the Gaza Strip and resolve the conflict. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the proposal came through diplomatic channels, and the Russian side is currently studying the parameters and content of the initiative.

What does the Kremlin want to "determine"?

The point emphasized by Peskov is this: Moscow is not rushing to participate in this format - first, it wants to clarify such aspects as the real powers of the council, the decision-making mechanism, financial and political obligations. Therefore, Russia expressed hope that all details would be clarified through further contacts with the US side.

That is, the official position is not yet "agree" or "no" - the Kremlin will first read the rules, then think about the signature. Simply put: "the link to join the chat has arrived, but first let's review the group rules."

Who is included in the council?

According to media reports, the council includes a number of high-ranking US representatives and international figures. In particular, the list includes US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Representative for the Middle East Steve Whitkoff, Jared Kushner, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, as well as World Bank President Ajay Banga.

Tokayev has already agreed

Against the backdrop of these events, there were also reports that Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had received an invitation to join the council and expressed his readiness to participate.

It was also previously reported that Donald Trump invited Uzbekistan to the Peace Council, and Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his readiness to join the organization as a founding state.

To which countries was the invitation sent, and what is the essence of the structure?

According to the draft charter reviewed by Bloomberg, the functions of this structure may not be limited to Gaza alone. The document defines the council as an "international organization that strives to promote stability, restore trustworthy and legitimate governance, and ensure lasting peace in areas affected or threatened by conflicts."

Another noteworthy aspect of the charter is that Donald Trump will chair the council. At the same time, the issue of "lifetime membership" is also at the center of discussion - according to the data, countries are required to pay at least $1 billion for permanent status.

According to the report, Washington has sent invitations to the leaders of 50 countries on this initiative, including the leaders of Argentina, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Bahrain, Egypt, Turkey, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Israel, and Uzbekistan.

What does this mean?

For now, the most important thing is that "an invitation has arrived" doesn't automatically mean "added." The Russian side is studying the content of the initiative and may clarify the position after further diplomatic contacts. If Moscow considers the format suitable for its interests and international position, there is a possibility of participation; otherwise - the issue may remain at the level of negotiations.

Brief conclusion: New seats are being placed in the geopolitical "big table" around Gaza. Who will sit - it is not yet known to the end, but it is clear that the game is big.
