Zinaida Serebritskaya, who is considered a suspect in the case of the assassination attempt on Vladimir Alekseyev, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of Military Intelligence of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia and a lieutenant general, has been placed on the international wanted list. TASS reported this, citing the materials of the criminal case.
According to the case materials, Zinaida Serebritskaya has officially been registered as a person declared on the international wanted list.
In addition, according to the investigation materials, she left the territory of Russia and is currently hiding on the territory of Turkey, in particular in the city of Istanbul. It is reported that Serebritskaya flew directly from Russia to Istanbul.
She holds a Russian passport and used it to enter Russia from the territory of Luhansk and to move freely within the country.
Earlier, TASS, citing law-enforcement agencies, reported that Serebritskaya had been put on the federal wanted list under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — encroachment on the life of a law-enforcement officer.
The Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow reported that a preventive measure in the form of detention in absentia has been chosen against Zinaida Serebritskaya.
