Sadir Japarov explained why he fired Kamchibek Tashiev

One of the most discussed decisions in Kyrgyzstan in recent days is the dismissal of Kamchibek Tashiev from his post. President Sadyr Japarov once again spoke openly on this topic and explained in his own words what was behind the seemingly "hasty" decision.
According to Japarov, before signing the decree on the dismissal of the head of the State Committee for National Security, he first called a friend. He did not call him a minister, he did not call him a colleague - he called him "friend". In the conversation, he explained the situation in the country, and then said that he had made a decision.
“Before making the decision to dismiss the head of the State Committee for National Security, I called my friend, explained the situation here, told him that I was dismissing him from his post, and then made the decision,” Sadir Japarov said in an interview with the Khabar agency.
The president explained his step as “saving a friend.” According to him, some people around Tashiev — “be they elders or kuksakals, whatever” — could have led him astray. That is, Tashiev’s name was used as a “mask” and appeals were made to parliamentarians, government officials, and public figures to “go over to the general’s side.”
"Because those around him - whether we call them 'aksakals' or 'koksakals' - in any case, they were trying to lead my friend astray. They began to address parliamentarians, responsible civil servants and public figures, disguised as Kamchibek Tashiev, saying: 'Go over to the general's side,'" Japarov added.
Japarov did not hide his concern at this point: if Tashiev had remained in office, such calls would have likely intensified. This would have increased the risk of division, confrontation and the emergence of various "fronts" both within the state apparatus and in society. The president's conclusion is firm: stability is above all.
"That is why I was forced to dismiss my friend from his post. Stability in the state is above everything for me," he said.
One thing is clear: this is not just about personnel changes, but about "maintaining order" in the political situation. International sources also explain this decision in the context of preventing possible divisions in society and regrouping the security system.
As for the development of events, on the night of February 13, it was reported that Tashiev returned to Kyrgyzstan after completing his treatment abroad ahead of schedule. According to the media, he immediately got into his car after landing at Manas Airport, before journalists had time to ask questions.
It should be recalled that Kamchibek Tashiev was dismissed from his post on February 10. He himself described this decision as unexpected.
In short, Japarov's logic is this: friendship is friendship, but the state is the "major league". If you give free rein to emotions in politics, it will be difficult to lead society to the "playoffs" later. The main question now is whether this decision will actually strengthen internal stability or, on the contrary, will cause new conflicts. Time will tell, but one thing is already clear: the agenda in Kyrgyzstan is changing very quickly.
