North Korea expressed its intention to continue the path of expanding and strengthening its nuclear arsenal. According to the Korean Central News Agency, Kim Jong Un made this statement during a military parade following the ninth Congress of the ruling Workers' Party in Pyongyang.
According to Kim Jong Un, the party remains committed to "further expanding and strengthening the national nuclear potential," as well as fully utilizing its status as a nuclear state.
The North Korean leader emphasized that the possibility of improving relations with the US also depends on Washington's position. He believes that if the United States puts an end to its policy of resistance against the DPRK and recognizes the country's current status, there will be no reason for the two sides to "find common ground."
At the same time, the reports noted that Kim Jong Un still did not accept Donald Trump's invitation to meet.
