The president of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos has left his post, Reuters reports. According to reports, the resignation came after the situation related to the "Epstein case."
In his humiliating speech, Borge Brende emphasized that his work at the forum was productive. However, in his speech, he did not dwell on the connection with Epstein.
According to the US Department of Justice, Brende, who has served as WEF president since 2017, met with Epstein several times during a business dinner. Information was also circulated that they communicated via email.
Following this, it was announced that the World Economic Forum's leadership had launched an independent investigation into Brandy's relationship with Epstein.
Jeffrey Epstein was accused of sexual exploitation of minors. He died in prison in 2019, investigators consider this situation a suicide.
On January 30, the US Department of Justice released another 3 million files related to the Epstein case. According to the ministry, more than 3.5 million documents were disclosed, including previous materials.
