Lebanon hit by devastating strikes across regions

The ongoing military campaign by Israel in Lebanon has intensified, resulting in the deaths of more than 25 people across Beirut and the southern and eastern regions of the country. Recent strikes have targeted areas in the capital that had previously remained untouched throughout the current conflict, including the Jnah and Nabaa neighborhoods. Israeli officials stated that these operations were aimed at Hezbollah financial assets, though the strikes have caused significant destruction in densely populated residential zones. Reports Aljazeera.com.
The humanitarian toll continues to rise, with reports indicating that 687 people have been killed in less than two weeks, including 98 children. Furthermore, over 800,000 residents have been forcibly displaced from their homes. In response to the escalating violence, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres arrived in Beirut to express solidarity with the Lebanese people, emphasizing that the nation was dragged into a war it did not choose.
Beyond the capital, bombardment persists in southern and eastern Lebanon. Attacks in the Sidon, Tyre, and Bekaa Valley regions have claimed numerous lives, including those of children. Emergency teams are currently working to recover victims from the rubble of destroyed buildings as international condemnation of the strikes grows. Qatar has officially denounced the military actions, labeling them a blatant violation of sovereignty as the regional crisis deepens.
