It was reported that Iran is burying 84 sailors today. On March 4, the Iranian destroyer "Dena" was attacked by a US submarine near the island of Sri Lanka while returning from a military parade from India. As a result of the attack, 84 sailors were killed, and 20 people went missing.
Yesterday, sailors were dispatched to their final destination in several Iranian cities. During the ceremonies, families and colleagues commemorated the victims, and their bodies were buried with respect.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkiyon stated that the US submarine carried out a "cowardly and disgusting attack" on a ship returning from a peacekeeping mission thousands of miles from the military conflict zone.
The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces and the Central Command of Khatam al-Anbiya announced that they would avenge the blood of the innocent martyrs of the "Dena" destroyer with devastating blows.
