Iran prepares for Khamenei's funeral

The Iranian government has officially begun organizing a comprehensive state funeral for the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. This was reported by A news.

It is reported that the ceremony had been delayed for three months due to the country's war with the USA and Israel.

According to state media, a special headquarters has been formed to prepare for the funeral. Currently, various government organizations are engaged in planning and organizational work to hold the ceremony at a high level.

The report notes that Khamenei, who ruled Iran for over 30 years, died on February 28 during initial strikes by the US and Israel at the start of the war. During the attack, his son and successor, Mojtaba Khamenei, was also injured. It is said that he has not appeared in public since assuming the position of Supreme Leader.

Although an event dedicated to Khamenei's memory was held in April of this year, the previously planned state funeral had been canceled due to the war.

According to officials, the exact date of the ceremony has not yet been set. At the same time, relevant organizations are working to create all necessary conditions for holding a "grand and solemn" state funeral.
