Relations between Russia and Hungary were again at the center of discussion

Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that the Kremlin will not congratulate the leader of the Tisa party, Peter Magyar, on his victory in the Hungarian parliamentary elections.

He noted that Moscow does not send congratulations to "unfriendly countries," and Hungary is among them. Peskov cited Budapest's support for sanctions against Russia as the reason for this.

At the same time, the Kremlin spokesperson stated that Russia will closely monitor what Hungary's new political course will be. He also added that Moscow is always open to mutually beneficial and pragmatic relations.

As a reminder, the parliamentary elections in Hungary were held against the backdrop of political tensions related to the European Union and Kyiv.
