The US announced the imposition of a blockade on Iranian ports

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced a blockade regime for vessels entering and exiting Iranian ports starting April 13.

The reason for the decision was cited as the failure of negotiations between the US and Iran.

According to reports, the blockade will fully cover Iranian ports in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. However, it was stated that the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz will remain.

At the same time, following this situation, a sharp increase in oil prices and increased economic instability are noted on world markets.
