Person charged in attempted assassination of Trump

Cole Allen, who worked as a teacher in the US, has been charged with attempting to assassinate President Donald Trump. This was reported by the BBC.
According to information, he is also being charged under counts such as using a firearm to commit a crime and transporting a weapon across states for the purpose of carrying out a felony. Within the framework of these charges, he faces up to 10 years of imprisonment. If the court finds him guilty of attempting to assassinate the President, he may be sentenced to life imprisonment. For now, Allen is denying all charges.
According to information provided by the prosecution, he crossed the territories of several states for the purpose of carrying out the attack. A 12-gauge pump-action shotgun, three knives, and other weapon-equipment were identified in his possession.
As a reminder, this incident occurred on the night of April 26 in the banquet hall of the Washington Hilton hotel. Allen, a 31-year-old teacher residing in California, booked a room at the hotel and fired a shot at a US Secret Service agent at the entrance of the hall. He was apprehended at the scene.
Later, Trump stated the possibility that this attack is not connected to Iran.
