King Charles III of the United Kingdom has arrived in the United States for an official visit, marking his first trip to the country since 2007. The royal couple landed at Andrews Joint Base in Maryland, where they were greeted by U.S. protocol chief Monica Crowley and the British ambassador to the U.S., Christian Turner. During their four-day visit, which celebrates the 250th anniversary of American independence, King Charles is scheduled to meet with President Donald Trump and address Congress, a rare opportunity for a British monarch since Queen Elizabeth II's address in 1991.

It is reported that the plane carrying the monarch and his wife landed at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
They were met at the airport by the US Chief of Protocol Monica Crowley and the British Ambassador to the US, Kristian Terner.
This is considered Charles III's first visit to the US since 2007.
The visit program includes a meeting and negotiations with US President Donald Trump and a speech in Congress.
It is noted that the British monarch has addressed American lawmakers only once before — following a speech made by Queen Elizabeth II in 1991.
