New alliance in the Strait of Hormuz: Trump's strategic plan against Iran

Hoʻrmuz boʻgʻozida yangi ittifoq: Trampning Eronga qarshi strategik rejasi

Tensions in the Middle East are rising to a new level. The administration of US President Donald Trump has called on the international community to unite in order to establish control and restore shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, which is of strategic importance to the global economy. Zamin.uz analyzes this new geopolitical initiative and the objectives behind it.

MFC – A New Format for Maritime Security

The US State Department is promoting a new format called the Maritime Freedom Construct (MFC) through diplomatic channels. The main aspects of this initiative include:

  • Coordination: Rapid information exchange and unification of diplomatic efforts among participating states.

  • Form of Participation: Although the project is not officially considered a military bloc, countries are being given the opportunity to join as "diplomatic" or "military partners."

  • Sanctions Control: Strict enforcement of restrictions on maritime routes is envisioned.

  • Cooperation: The new structure will operate in harmony with existing security initiatives of Great Britain and France.

Confrontation: Blockade and Oil Crisis

The Strait of Hormuz has been closed by Iran since late February of this year. In response, official Washington has also tightened the blockade against ships entering Iranian ports. This "maritime battle" is leading to supply chain disruptions and price instability in the global oil market.

Important fact: The Trump administration intends to continue the blockade of ports to bring Tehran to the brink of economic crisis.

Tehran's Diplomatic Move

As the situation takes a precarious turn, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arogʻchi sent a message to Washington via Pakistan. The Iranian side is proposing the following condition:

  1. The US must immediately lift the maritime blockade.

  2. In exchange, negotiations on the nuclear program will be moved to the next stage.

But the White House is in no hurry to respond positively to this proposal and continues to increase the pressure.

Dear readers, do you think the formation of a new international coalition can resolve the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz? Will such economic pressures force Tehran back to the negotiating table, or will the situation escalate further?
