Trump Announces Imminent Historic Agreement with Iran

The long-standing political tension and geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East are finally on the verge of being resolved through peace and diplomacy. US President Donald Trump promised that a global agreement between official Washington and Tehran is very close and that important details of this historic document will soon be announced to the public. According to the White House leader, the future deal provides for the full opening of the Strait of Hormuz, which is of strategic importance for world trade, but he deemed it necessary to keep other firm commitments secret for now.
At the same time, on Saturday, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Esmail Baghaei, speaking on state television, confirmed that the positions of the US and Iran have begun to converge significantly over the past week. However, the Iranian diplomat warned that this does not mean a full consensus has been reached on major global issues, and accused the American side of making "contradictory and hasty statements" on the international stage.
Talks with Saudi Arabia and the Emirates: "Peace Memorandum" ready
Donald Trump happily noted on his official social media pages that he had held "very productive and effective dialogue" within the framework of a "Memorandum of Understanding on Peace" with the leaders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and a number of other influential countries in the region.
"The global peace document has been fully agreed upon in general terms. At the moment, it is awaiting final ratification by the United States, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and other Middle Eastern countries listed. The final minor details of the deal are currently being discussed and will be officially announced soon," the US President emphasized.
In addition, the White House leader added that he had an important phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday, and that the discussion was "very constructive and positive." Trump once again reminded that the future agreement will completely and unconditionally prohibit Iran from possessing or developing nuclear weapons:
"I will only sign this deal if all the conditions that we (the US and its allies) want and demand are fully met. We will either find common ground and conclude a peace treaty, or Iran will face such a terrible situation that no country in world history has ever experienced such a devastating and powerful blow."
Iran's "14-point" plan and Marco Rubio's conditions
Tehran diplomacy representative Esmail Baghaei, while touching upon this "memorandum of understanding," stated that the Iranian side intends to reach a final agreement "in the form of a special 14-point document." According to Baghaei, technical work on the memorandum is nearing its final stage. After this stage passes, new and decisive rounds of negotiations will begin within the next 30-60 days, allowing Iran to reach a final agreement within the framework of its national interests.
In this process, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is approaching the issue with some caution and political optimism. During his official visit to India, he told a BBC reporter that major news regarding the Middle East could emerge in the next day or two, but refrained from giving a 100% guarantee.
The Secretary of State reiterated the US's firm position: Iran must abandon the idea of creating nuclear weapons and open the international shipping route through the strategic Strait of Hormuz without any economic tariffs or obstacles. Rubio also emphasized that Tehran must hand over its stockpiles of highly enriched uranium to full international control. World diplomacy is awaiting the outcome of this historic agreement.
Do you think this new peace treaty expected to be signed between Donald Trump and the Iranian leadership can put a complete end to the years of war and conflict in the Middle East?
